Hi Chris, thanks for sharing.

Our design team has taken the initiative to start cleaning up our Design Library and upgrading it to Design System, which we will be utilizing with Figma.

I was determined to establish our own design system because I was heavily involved with the whitelabel products. However, time passed, and my interest waned. I'm concerned about what will happen if the other tools become standard in a couple of years. I've used Omnigraffle, Sketch, Invision, Zeplin in the past, but we now use Figma exclusively.

My three co-designers have started working on tidying up old components and discussing with developers. They're spending quite a lot of time on it. I understand how to use it, what they have been trying to do, and what we want as an outcome, so I simply acknowledge their work without getting involved.

I realized that I need to focus on different areas as a designer to advance my career. I've recently been transferred to a new team that requires me to understand and learn domain knowledge, even though the product has been used by internal users. I can help users have better experiences and eliminate their workarounds.

P.S. I subscribed to Axure for a few years, but I stopped because I couldn't find a way to make it work for me. It's still a useful program for designers to ways of think about interactions.
