I thought the definition of this ubiquitous word “UX” depends on the organisation, but it is the same job description with a long bullet point. Organisations look for — or hope for — getting something people call “Unicorns” beyond their standardised list. What they want us to do in that list is different from what we have to do in the organisation. In this situation, you as a designer can make adjustments until you realise that you and the organisation will be at cross purposes. You could try forcing a switch in direction, but the friction would be enormous. Is it worth doing? Maybe it is worth it, maybe isn’t.
